Chilly, dark and stormy outside? Sometimes neither dog nor human is keen on a long walk - but don't worry! Your pooch can get lots of fun and healthy stimulation with indoor activities. Indoor games also strengthen the relationship between you and your dog, train concentration and provide mental stimulation.
- Hide and seek
A favorite that never fails. Disappear when the dog is not looking (behind a door, under the blanket) and let your doggy's nose do the work. It won't be long before your dog wonders where you went and starts looking. Does your dog need help? A little "beep" is enough. Laughter is guaranteed - and a very happy dog when it finds you! - Where is the food?
In nature, food is not served in a bowl - let the dog work for the food! Put the food or treats in a towel, roll it up and let the hunt begin. Want to make it more difficult? Tie a knot in the towel and hide it, you can make the hiding places more difficult as you go. Perfect for activating both their nose and brain. - The Imitation Game
A little crazy - but a lot of fun. Make eye contact with your dog. Then imitate the dog’s movements: tilt your head, yawn, lie down. Do as your dog does. Soon you will notice that your dog is looking at you with wonder and seems to be thinking: “But what is she doing?”
